WE SEND HOPE
Sometimes, a moment of inspiration arises in the most unexpected season. Growing up with our grandfather, we were privy to the Parkinson’s and strokes that disrupted all normalcy in his life. As we watched him struggle to use his hand and fingers, we felt we had to do something. The plan to utilize Play-Doh and to work with him was birthed and then took flight.
The idea that if this endeavor could help our grandfather, this could help others then grew its own wings. In fact, it has flown much farther than we could have ever imagined. Wings, buoyed by determination and generous winds, can be lifted far beyond its initial take-off pad.
Today, we have launched Play-Dohs to more than 150 hospitals in 50 states. Kids and adults are our recipients. We have raised funds by giving swim lessons and through donor partnerships. Along the way, we have seen how diverse Play-Doh application can be. For example, Play-Dohs can be beneficial in rehabilitation therapy and psychiatric support for adults and kids. In addition, Play-Dohs can also facilitate development and growth through imaginative play and serve as a distraction tool for children.
We believe in the power of Play-Doh to make a difference. One cannister at a time. We send more than fun, yellow jars. We send hope.

Yes. Our main mission is to work with Play-Doh. However, we have partnered with some hospitals like Stanford Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital and Georgetown MedStar Hospital in special projects to combine Play-Doh with Crayola products.
Not right now. We had an incident at a hospital where a staff displayed inappropriate behaviors including contacting us through his personal email(s) and sending us a picture of himself. We are uncomfortable with a platform where there is potential engagement of commenting, messaging, and the ability to follow us right now.
Yes. For the last 3 years this December, we have made Creative Art Packs consisting of Play-Dohs and Crayola products together for approximately 50 CPS (Child Protective Services) kids locally during Christmas. We plan to continue this commitment. We have also delivered 1,000+ Play-Dohs to our local police department so they can give Play-Dohs to children in family crisis and emergency situations.
Yes. We had a hospital inquiry if they could give Play-Dohs to their senior citizen patients as a creative outlet. Play-Doh at any age rocks! We love these “out of the box” moments. As age progresses, our extremities can become less limber and more stiff, especially if arthritis is involved. Play-Doh can foster creativity as well as promote healthy exercises for fingers and hands.
